What do you mean???
What do you mean??? We have a new and exciting format for What Do You Mean??? Do you have a friend or relative that thinks they are a bit of a daredevil? If so, dream up a dare for them. Send us your details, the person you would like to dare and what you would like to see them do to whatdoyoumean@cruisinthecountry.com.au DO NOT tell the person you are daring. If you are chosen we will contact you and put the wheels in motion. If the person that is dared accepts and completes the challenge, they will win the prize on offer for that episode. If they knock it back, Mel or Scotty will attempt it. If we complete it, nobody wins and if we don’t, you will win the prize. So get creative and send them in!!!
Well, our first ever WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? was an absolute beauty. What better challenge is there than jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane? And wouldn’t you know it, Steve declined. So the coin toss was taken and Scotty was thrown into the fire. Not one to back away from a challenge easily, he threw himself into it and plummeted towards the earth at 220 km/h. Thanks heaps to Janine and Ken at Aerial Skydives in Traralgon for chucking Scotty out of a plane. If you want to have a go, you could not be in safer hands and it is well worth the experience. Be careful though, you could get addicted to it. Scotty is already planning his next jump. Tandem dives start from $395 per person and you can give Janine a call on 0408 070 991 to find out more or visit www.aerialskydives.com
The pictures below tell the story.
After a solid briefing on what we were about to do and how we were gunna do it, the moment of truth arrived.
A bit of a final run through on the tarmac and then into it.
Heading for ten thousand feet so we could take the quick way down!!!
Then after about 25 seconds of madness, hurtling towards the earth at 220km/h, the parachute was opened and then a few short minutes later….back on terra firma.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hang on a minute…………………….I’m still alive!!!
